Terms & Conditions
Dine time
There is a two hour dine in time for all customers and all sized groups. If you require more time please let us know and we will organise a minimum spend and arrange a longer dine in time for you.
Pre-authorisation fee
There is a pre authorisation fee to secure your booking. Your booking will be confirmed once this payment has been processed and this form has been signed. This is just a holding fee and will not be taken off your final bill. It will be released back to you upon your groups arrival.
Meals
Your group is required to select one of our three delicious banquets options for seated events, or from the bar functions menu for bar events. Our kitchen can cater for most dietary requirements, so please inform us of any intolerances or allergies.
Opa requires final numbers 2 weeks prior to your event. Any decrease in numbers after this time period may result in a charge of the selected menu price for any guests not attending.
Weekend surcharge
On Saturdays and Sundays there is an 10% surcharge. And on public holidays there is a 20% surcharge. This is not included in the minimum spend.
Decorations
We welcome small decorations like flowers and balloons. We do not allow anything that contains confetti or anything that will leave litter around the restaurant. You must also take your decorations with you when you leave or they will be disposed at the end of the day. The venue takes no responsibility for any decorations that have been left behind.
Celebration cakes
You are allowed to bring your own cakes for any celebrations. If you would like us to cut your cake for you we charge $3.50 per person to serve it with ice cream and strawberries.
Terms of Payment
We require your pre authorisation fee to be paid two weeks in advance or your booking will be at risk of being cancelled.
We have a one bill per table policy. There will be no exceptions to split the bill. Please make sure that you prepare for this.
Cancelation Policy
We require 1 weeks notice for any and all cancellations.
If we receive less than 1 weeks notice of cancellation or there is a no-show on the evening the pre authorisation fee or your deposit will be charged to your account.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
We hope you enjoy your time with us at Opa Bar & Mezze. Just a few Responsible Service of Alcohol points that must be addressed and followed.
We are a family restaurant and have regular customers of all ages. We will not tolerate any loud or rowdy guests.
As the host of your group you are responsible for containing your group and any escalating situations that may happen.
We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol and refuse entry to the restaurant if intoxication is apparent.
We will provide a personal waiter for your event who will help you for the duration of your visit. So we ask you to respect them as much as they will respect you.
As a part of the Responsible Service of Alcohol act we will be providing you with water through out the whole event.
If yourself or any of your party becomes too intoxicated, too loud or if they become aggressive or rude to any of our staff we do hold the right to ask you and the group to vacate the premises.
